At the College of New Jersey: Dr. Derald Wing Sue will lecture on the topic of “Microaggressions in Everyday Life…and on our Campus.” The talk is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. in Education Building room 212.
Dr. Sue is a professor of psychology and education in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Teachers College and the School of Social Work at Columbia University. He has become an expert in the area of microaggressions, and has authored numerous books on the topic including Race Talk and the Conspiracy of Silence: Understanding and Facilitating Difficult Dialogues on Race; Counseling the Culturally Diverse: Theory and Practice; Microaggressions in Everyday Life; and Overcoming our Racism: The Journey to Liberation.
