Racial discrimination has a role in every aspect of our lives as a nagging reminder that racial hierarchy exists and where one aligns based on assigned identities given. The strange thing that continues to surface is these assigned identifying characteristics have been created to place people inside categories that dishonor both value and honor. Who am I, if I do not fit inside the role assigned to me? Who am I, if what I feel does not align with the projection of who another needs me to do? How does racial hierarchy been you?
