Clyde Bethea, Marian Croak, William Massey and James West will discuss the 20th Century Black Scientific Renaissance at Bell Labs. “Outstanding achievements of this panel include a combined total of nearly 800 patents, a member of the inaugural class of American Mathematical Society Fellows, 3 members of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, and the co-inventor of the electret microphone, as well as impressive records of mentoring under-represented students to achieve greatness in scientific and technological careers.” (Part of the Ma Bell Exhibition-related Programs collection.)
