Registration for the virtual 7th Annual Awards and Conference is now open.
This virtual event will commemorate the memory of and educate others about individuals who were freed or enslaved in the U.S. on or before 1866. The focus is on their lives and the fact they lived. Friday, June 9: award to community leaders and authors of books and other literature focused on the enslaved and freed ancestors. Saturday, June 10: a full day of learning from and interacting with descendants and scholars on the Civil War and other topics, including a panel on reparations based on genealogy.
This two-day event starts June 9 at 6:00 pm and ends at 4:00 pm on June 10, 2023. Early registration fee is only $30.00 until May 22, 2023. Regular registration fee is $40.00.
