Join the Trenton Film Society for a special screening of THE LEAGUE, directed by Sam Pollard, which celebrates Negro League baseball as an economic and social pillar of Black communities in the first half of the 20th Century. The league was a stage for some of the greatest athletes to ever play the game, from trailblazers Satchel Paige and Buck O’Neil, to the Jackie Robinson era as well as Hall of Famers Willie Mays and Hank Aaron. The film also explores some unforeseen consequences of integration.
