On Tuesday, February 10 at 6pm at the Carl Lewis Center (Princeton University, Olden Avenue at Prospect) Ilyasah Shabazz will talk about what it was like to grow up in the shadow of her father, Malcolm X, a human rights activist who was assassinated when she was just two years old. In this lecture, Ms. Shabazz will also discuss the media’s representation of her father. In the aftermath of the Michael Brown shooting, and the death of Tamir Rice and Eric Garner, Ms. Shabazz will offer some suggestions on where we go from here.
