Princeton people: Students involved with Unidad Latina en Acción NJ have organized a rally at 6PM today.
“Join us in front of Princeton Public Library to demonstrate mass opposition to Trump and his agenda. Trump’s agenda is a legitimate danger to so many people’s lives. It is time for coalition. We must unite to battle his racism, sexism, Islamophobia, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, and xenophobia. We need to organize! We need numbers! If someone else is organizing a similar protest in the Princeton area, let us know so we can join forces.”
I understand and realize during stressful times people need to vent and collaborate. Getting together is wonderful if it is constructive. Initiating strategic talks where individuals identify themselves to take the lead on becoming experts in one issue immigration, building the wall, mass incarceration, or militarism, connect with a Washington ally to stay abreast of what is forthcoming is one foundation for social change. When a community creates warriors from the inside, the community benefits from learning the information first hand and the community benefits exponentially. Developing grassroots strategies for social change is how communities shift political agendas.
