The authors will discuss MARCH, the National Book Award-winning graphic novel trilogy depicting Congressman Lewis’s life as a central figure in the civil rights movement, including the Nashville sit-ins, the Freedom Rides, the 1963 March on Washington, the Mississippi Freedom Summer, and the 1965 marches in Selma, Alabama that led to the Voting Rights Act.
