Ruha Benjamin will keynote the first graduate conference of the Department of African American Studies at Princeton University, Wednesday to Friday, April 19-21. Entitled eighteen hundred and more – mourning the needy dead in the chaos of protest, it will explore the relationship between premature Black death and collective mourning.
The conference is free and open to the public, but all attendees must register, and seats are limited.
