Members of the Princeton community are invited to Hinds Plaza on Tuesday, November 28th at noon, to join hands in support of a Clean Dream Act. This will be a visible action that calls on Congress to pass the Dream Act by December 8th.
On September 5th Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the rescinding of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA), putting at risk the dreams of 800,000 young adults whose lives are woven into the fabric of this country. We are calling on Congress to pass a clean Dream Act that restores protections, provides legal status, and allows a pathway to citizenship.
For the last five years, DACA has enabled these young people, over 22,000 in New Jersey, to go to school and launch their careers without fear of deportation. With the cancellation of DACA, New Jersey will experience the fifth largest economic loss in the country.
Join us as we hold hands in solidarity to show our support for our immigrant neighbors.
Join us in solidarity with Dreamers, we are all dreamers.
There will be a poster making party the Monday before (Nov 27th) from 3-7pm at Labyrinth Books.
