On Wednesday, November 29 at 7:30 p.m., there will be a screening of films from the New Negress Film Society. “As members of the collective New Negress Film Society, artists Frances Bodomo and Ja’Tovia Gary seek to create spaces for support and exhibition of work by black women filmmakers. Following a screening of their films, the two artists will participate in an audience discussion as part of the new film screening series Film Blackness, organized by visiting associate professor Michael Gillespie (City College of New York) and made possible by the John Sacret Young Fund for visiting filmmakers.
