color-of-medicine-poster On Monday, September 17 at 5:30 pm, the Princeton Garden Theatre will screen THE COLOR OF MEDICINE, which chronicles the rise and fall of St. Louis, Missouri’s premier black hospital that at one point in history, trained the largest number of black doctors and nurses in the world. Recollections of the hospital’s beginnings in 1937 to its closing in 1979 are heard from physicians, nurses and patients, along with community activists and leaders expressing the valuable significant contributions that Homer G. Phillips hospital made in African-American and United States history.
